Pool/Natatorium and Locker Rooms At Marshak Science And Physical Education Building

The project involves a complete renovation of the swimming pool including the natatorium area and all accessory spaces such as offices locker rooms and the pool equipment room. The project also includes an upgrade of the entire mechanical system, plumbing and lighting serving those area. An important aspect of the project was to bring everything up to current code requirements. The project scope was developed based on detailed surveys and inspections conducted along with a pool consultant and MEP engineers. The pool and natatorium although deteriorated significantly over years of wear and tear and lack of proper maintenance, are extremely important aspects of the college’s athletic program. The new design therefore, had to not only bring the facilities up to code but also modernize the finishes and upgrade the equipment with state-of-the-art technology in keeping with the times and for future use. The new design is intended to render the Swimming Pool as a key element of the athletic facilities of the college and serve as an important asset to attract future students.
